Pearl Jam Postpones Oakland Dates, Adds Fresno, Sacramento

Pearl Jam is finally ready to rock Oakland.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame act has announced a two-night adventure, May 12-13, at Oakland Arena.

The dates are part of the band’s upcoming North American tour, which has been postponed to 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“On March 9, 2020, Pearl Jam was the first major artist to unplug and reschedule their Spring 2020 tour dates due to Covid-19 concerns,” according to a press release. “A few weeks later, the band’s new album ‘Gigaton’ was released to critical acclaim but to empty halls. Almost two years later, Pearl Jam can finally hit the road with their 2020 North American tour dates officially rescheduled to May and September 2022. The updated routing includes four additional concert dates in Fresno, Sacramento, Las Vegas and Camden.

The Fresno date is May 16 at the Save Mart Center and the Sacramento show is May 18 at the Golden 1 Center.

All public tickets are available through Ticketmaster Verified Fan Registration. Register until March 27 at 10 p.m. at https://verifiedfan.ticketmaster.com/pearljam. Tickets for verified fans go on sale at 10 a.m. on March 29.

There will be no general public sale.

But there will be a presale for currently eligible Pearl Jam Ten Club members (active from Sunday, March 13).

Josh Klinghoffer, guitarist for the 2009-19 Red Hot Chili Peppers, will join the tour with his solo project, Pluralone, as the opening act. Klinghoffer also joins Pearl Jam as a touring member for these shows.
