Pearl Jam reschedules 2020 tour to stop in Glendale on May 9

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — Pearl Jam has postponed its 2020 tour dates and is hitting the road for its rescheduled 2020 North American tour from May to September 2022. The band will make a stop in Glendale at Gila River Arena on Monday, 9 May, with Pluralone opening and Josh Klinghoffer as a touring member.

All ticket presales for all tour dates have begun for currently eligible members of the Pearl Jam Ten Club and public tickets will be available through Ticketmaster Verified Fan Registration which opens on Sunday March 27, and the Verified Fan Onsale begins on Tuesday, March 29 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Pearl Jam’s European tour dates are rescheduled for June and July 2022. The band says it will pay $200 per ton for any carbon dioxide mitigation from the Gigaton Tour.

Stone Gossard said in a press release: “We are proud of our past efforts to mitigate our unavoidable carbon footprint from touring over the past 20 years, but the time to multiply this effort is clearly now. By committing to this aggressive pricing, we also hope to amplify our efforts and bring together partners who share our urgency to make the investments and innovations needed to move our world towards a more carbon-conscious and balanced economy.
