Launched in 2021, PEARL Pledge was developed with the goal of championing the success of Black women and girls in the United States and is based on five key pillars: Prosperity, Accountability, To access, Representation and Leadership. Recognizing the importance of black women in brand history and the need to provide more support to black women and girls today, PEARL Pledge is offering funding to 501c3 organizations working to make positive change in their communities and beyond.

How to nominate and apply
Those wishing to apply for a PEARL Pledge scholarship this year must meet the following criteria:
- Based in the United States, serving communities within the country
- Classified as a non-profit organization with 501c3 public charitable status
- Provide programming for black women and/or girls
- Aligns with PEARL Pledge mission and pillars
Grants will be awarded based on several factors, including how the chosen organizations will use the funding. In addition to opening applications for eligible nonprofit organizations, Pearl Milling Company also encourages people to nominate organizations that align with the PEARL Pledge program and criteria to apply for a grant. Starting today, applications and applications can be submitted on www.pearlmillingcompany.com/pearlpledge. Applications will be closed 11:59 PM EST on May 92022, and applications will close by 11:59 PM EST on May 18, 2022.
To help select grant recipients, Pearl Milling Company will again work with an advisory board comprised of women who are passionate about addressing the critical needs facing Black women and girls today, contributing their expertise in areas such as racial and social justice and entrepreneurship. .
In 2021, 14 nonprofit organizations in 11 cities across the country received grants to create or expand programs to benefit Black women and girls in their communities. The funds were awarded for various initiatives, including addressing food insecurity, access to education and job training, and raising awareness of health disparities affecting black women.
