LONDON, GREATER LONDON, UK, June 9, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — Pearl Scan Group, one of the UK’s leading document scanning services companies, announces its policy which takes a historic step towards net zero with the end of gasoline and diesel car purchases.

Transition to zero-emission cars and vans
After consultation with stakeholders, industry and the general public, a 2-phase approach to the process was announced today (Wednesday 08 June 2022).
Stage 1 will see the phasing out of the purchase of new petrol and diesel cars by 2025
Stage 2 will see the phasing out of the purchase of new petrol and diesel vans by 2030.
Today, a driver is never more than 25 miles from a fast-charging point, anywhere along England’s motorways and main roads. In November 2020, the Prime Minister put the UK on track to become the fastest G7 country to decarbonise cars and vans – announcing that all new petrol and diesel cars and vans will be phased out of here the end of the decade. Pearl Scan’s step towards zero emissions also recognized that electric vehicles offer a great reduction in overall transportation costs for businesses, particularly for fleet vehicles used for collection and delivery services, travel and transportation. technical support and sales meetings where regular trips are made of up to 100 miles per day. He also acknowledges that electric vehicles are more expensive to buy, but have significantly lower running costs than their petrol or diesel counterparts.
Honoring Pearl Scan’s commitments will bring benefits that will be felt throughout its logistics, sales and operations nationwide. As the electric automobile will also become cheaper over a period of time than gasoline or diesel vehicles. This transition will promote leveling through job creation and economic growth. We are already seeing this happening, with major investments announced by major car manufacturers who have committed to building electric models in the UK.
Electric cars give us cleaner streets, making our cities and towns a better place to live and work. Research shows that over a year, a single electric car on the road can save an average of 1.5 million grams of CO2, equivalent to four return flights from London to Barcelona.
Now that we have set the direction for our investments in the electric vehicle, this plan sets out the actions that Pearl Scan will take to achieve these ambitions, bringing together our investment commitments, our commitment to our environmental system (En BS 14001 ) and our fleet policy changes during this period and beyond.
Pearl Scan has pledged to introduce a new CO2 emissions scheme for on-road vehicles and will invest £250,000 for electric vehicle switching and plug-in electric chargers provided to all employees at work and home from here 2024.
Pearl Scan’s step towards net zero further secures its commitment to a cleaner, healthier environment, as electric motors are simply more efficient than gasoline and diesel vehicles, as more of the energy put into the battery ends up being used to drive the car. Especially when electric vehicles are driven in cities, they waste less energy – and another major factor is that there are simply no tailpipe emissions of air pollutants such as nitrogen oxides and particles.
Our employees will also benefit from favorable company car tax rates for zero-emission cars until at least March 2025, as announced by the government.
Pearl Scan Group specializes in scanning and converting paper documents, converting microfilm and microfiche, and scanning books into high quality digital format. Its operations are global, but the bulk of its stock is in the UK.
