Brasserie Mon Chou Chou starts the day early with a new breakfast menu. Pearl Restaurant announced the early bird deals over the weekend with a Valentine’s Day launch. The menu will be available every weekday morning.
“It’s been a dream since Mon Chou Chou began to offer a premier breakfast spot in San Antonio,” the ad reads.
Breakfast is now served from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. A variety of omelettes including one with salmon, a plate of filet mignon with eggs and a French ham and cheese sandwich are all on the menu. Prices range from $9 for a parfait to $35 for the steak and eggs option.
Brasserie Mon Chou Chou also offers brunch on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Three friends and Frenchman Laurent Réa (Executive Chef), Philippe Placé and Jérôme Sérot teamed up to open their brainchild in December 2020 in the space that previously housed the Culinary Institute of America’s NAO. The fare opens up San Antonio to their childhood memories and favorites. Most of the dishes presented are recipes taken directly from their grandmothers’ cookbooks.
The restaurant is part of the Southerleigh Hospitality Group which includes Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery and Southerleigh Haute South.
MySA readers voted Brasserie Mon Chou Chou the best French restaurant in town in 2021. The restaurant was also named one of the best places to go, according to Yelp reviewers, this Valentine’s Day season. .
The brasserie breakfast news follows the Monday February 14 opening of Arrosta, another Pearl restaurant, which serves breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pearl’s bottling department tenants also introduced breakfast options last fall and are serving eaters earlier from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Box Street Social, one of the breakfast and brunch spots city’s liveliest, opened a few miles south of Pearl in December.
