Unemployment for December 2021 shows steady decline in Pearl River County – Picayune Item

Pearl River County’s unemployment rate in December of this year was 3.1%, the same as the previous month’s rate. This ranking places Pearl River County tied with Leake County for 33rd out of 82 counties in Mississippi. The previous year, in December, Pearl River County’s unemployment rate was 7%.

The seasonally adjusted average in Mississippi for November was 4.5%, down from 5% the previous month. In December 2020, the seasonally adjusted average was 6.6%.
