Twitter remained in turmoil after Pearl Thusi agreed to date one of her fans who asked her out.

Mr Smeg wore Drip shoes, a South African brand and Era by DJ Zinhle, Tshepo jeans, and he made a date in a Mercedes Benz S class.

We hope Pearl and Mr. Smeg had a lovely night together.

It’s not every day that a celebrity agrees to go out with a complete stranger, even if the person is their fan.

But one Twitter user had the audacity to ask Pearl Thusi out on a date – and he got a positive response.

Mr Smeg, real name Michael Bucwa, tweeted: “Hi @PearlThusi, can I take you out to lunch?”.

To the surprise of many Tweeps, Pearl agreed.

” Yes please. When ? ” she answered.

The two have set a date for Saturday January 29 at Daruma Restaurant, Waterfall City, Midrand.

Mr. Smeg pulls out all the stops to make sure the date is out of this world.

Not only does he ask the Tweeps what to wear to the date, he even contacted the city of Joburg to provide fireworks.

“@CityofJoburgZA. Can you please provide us with fireworks or something special for my lunch with Pearl Thusi,” he wrote.

He even requested a live stream of the date from Moja Love and BMW to sponsor his date with a car.
